Three weeks after the attempted massacre by Luca Traini, who shot randomly at refugees in the city center, Macerata is the setting of a new racist and xenophobic episode: one or more people (whose identity is still unknown) threw a brick against the glass door of the headquarters of GUS (Gruppo Umana Solidarietà), an organization that deals with hospitality and integration. After the act of vandalism, GUS received hundreds of messages of solidarity. "We believe in peace and dialogue, and we won't stop because of a violent and cowardly act. We go on without fear," GUS said in a statement.
