Abdul Rahman Haroun, a 40-year-old Sudanese migrant, has received asylum in Great Britain. His story is remarkable because he walked through the Channel Tunnel last August, taking 11 hours in the dark to reach the way out in Folkston. The tunnel has a length of 50 kilometers and during the whole stretch, Haroun had to keep himself hidden from security guards as the high speed trains were racing by. At the exit, he was arrested and charged. Later this month, the judge will announce whether the charge will be dropped now that he has received asylum.
