Steve Bannon’s European political operation to help right-wing populists win in the 2019 European elections is in disarray. According to a fresh investigation by the Guardian, the former chief strategist to Donald Trump miscalculated his campaign efforts, and in 9 of the 13 European countries in which he is seeking to campaign he could be barred or prevented from doing any work as he would be breaking election laws. When faced with the issue, Bannon acknowledged that he is seeking legal advice. He has spent months recruiting European parties to his Brussels-based group, the Movement.
