Despite the decision of Belgium's Coordinating Body for Threat Analysis to reduce the terrorist threat level from 3 (severe) to 2 (medium), the government has decided to keep soldiers in the streets. This decision leads to a normalization of their presence. Three associations, including the Belgian League of Human Rights, consider their presence disturbing and illegal. These three associations have complained to the governors of the provinces of Antwerp, Liège and Brussels, all of which still have soldiers in their streets.
