The very first regional offices of the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority have begun work in the counties of Lithuania. They were established in order to ensure the effective protection of consumer rights, to properly inform both the public and enterprises found in the country's regions about consumer rights, and to provide consultations and raise awareness regarding the adoption of the euro in Lithuania. These once-operational offices were re-established in response to worsening conditions for the most vulnerable consumer groups to locally seek redress for infringements.
