1.Can non-members/ potential members apply for this call? | No. The call is open only to members of the Liberties Network. |
2. Can a training event related to a concrete litigation effort be covered by the project grant? | Yes, any activity which is not a direct litigation cost, such as legal fees, can be a part of the projects. |
3. Can a research - analysis related to potential use of the Charter in litigation efforts be a part of a project? Can such an effort be contracted? | Yes, an external expert contracting is an eligible cost. |
4. Is co-funding needed for the 2025 projects? | No, there is no co-funding requirements for 2025 projects. Due to the final year of the regranting process, no audits are to be included either; only samples of invoices must be submitted in the financial report. |
5.What does the 3rd objective mean? Is it related to communication campaigns? | Yes, the 3rd objective is related to communication campaigns on fundamental rights litigation, guided by recommendations and findings from annual Rule of Law reports (EC and Liberties reports). |
6.Can an organization apply again for this call if they applied last year? | Yes, organizations can apply again for this call with a different project. They can also apply for an extension if they state it in the application and argue why the project is still relevant. Each proposal should be treated as a project in itself even if it is a continuation from what was done the previous year. |
7.Are there any specific provisions we should look into from the Charter? | Organizations can get funding for any provisions from the Charter. However, they need to stress the relevance of why they are applying for, e.g. there is a topic specific to their countries. |
8.Can the project address a combination of three or more objectives? | Organizations can submit a concise project that addresses one or more objectives, as long as it is coherent. Also, if organizations do publication, it needs to be acknowledged that it goes along with the EU visibility and dissemination standards. |
9.Can activities scheduled before June 1st be funded by the grant? | Only activities starting from the 1st of June and onwards are eligible for funding by the grant. |
10. Do we need to implement an audit for the project? | No, this year, an audit is not required. However a sample of supporting documentation will be added to the reporting process. |
