Last Tuesday, the Court of The Hague decided in interim injunction proceedings that the Dutch Pakistani terror suspect Sabir K. may not be extradited to the United States. The US suspects him of terrorist activities against American troops in Afghanistan. For the judge there was not enough clarity about the possible involvement of the US in the torturing of K. in Pakistan. K. was arrested by Pakistani authorities in 2010, after which he was tortured while in detention by the Pakistani secret service (ISI) and subsequently put on a transport to the Netherlands.
