Although the number of people coming to Europe is decreasing, around 2,000 refugees still travel the Balkan route every day. This number includes many families, says Jan Zeman, a photographer who coordinates Czech volunteers in the Serbian town of Šid. "Our mission is to help people at the petrol station in Adaševci, who are waiting for trains to take them through Croatia. The weather has gotten worse, so we distributed winter clothing and toiletries," says Zeman. Material assistance is purchased from funds provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the organization People in Need.
