Greater pains for refugee children must be taken by State Secretary of Education Sander Dekker, according to Dutch MPs. Paul van Meenen, MP for D66 (Liberal Party), wants Dekker to start discussions with schools to hear which hindrances they're facing. "He's broadcasting double signals to schools and local authorities. Schools are most willing to pre-finance teaching refugees, but they need the guarantee that the money comes back in due time. Dekker doesn't give that guarantee." Last month, the House of Representatives passed a number of motions on educating refugees.
