The Dutch Public Prosecution Department has demanded three years in prison plus one year of probation against a 22-year-old man who went to Syria in 2013 for six months to participate in jihad, then returned to the Netherlands and has been suspected of preparing terrorist crimes in several Dutch cities. Special conditions, such as an electronic bracelet, reporting requirements and obligatory treatment, have also been demanded. The Dutch intelligence service AIVD has been tracking the suspect, who, upon his return to the Netherlands, led a reclusive life and behaved radically.
