The head of Enisa, the EU's cybersecurity agency, has said his agency's accomplishments under a new mandate would be limited if it did not receive additional funding. Udo Helmbrecht said on 9 January that although the agency's budget will be doubled under the new mandate, in absolute terms the agency's financial resources will still be limited. The European Commission agreed last year to raise Enisa's budget to €22 million from €11 million, but at the same time gave the agency more tasks to work on.
