The trial of a 94-year-old former SS guard has begun in Germany. Johann Rehbogen is accused of complicity in mass murder at a Nazi death camp during the Second World War. Rehbogen served in the Stutthof, in present-day northern Poland, from June 1942 to September 1944. Because he had not reached the age of 21 at the time of his alleged crimes, he is being tried in a juvenile court in Münster. Rehbogen, who denies the charges, faces up to 15 years in prison, though it is believed he will not serve any prison time because of his age.
