French President Emmanuel Macron has accused Italy's government of "cynicism and irresponsibility" over its decision to refuse the migrant rescue ship Aquarius to dock in its ports. Macron's spokesman quoted the president as saying, "There is a degree of cynicism and irresponsibility in the Italian government's behavior." After Italy turned away the ship, carrying 629 migrants rescued from the Mediterranean, it had been forced to hold in international waters until Monday, when Spain's prime minister said it would be allowed to dock in Valencia.
