On May 5 and 6, Germany's compliance under the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination was examined. Many topics were covered during the session, including racial profiling and the handling of racially motivated crimes in Germany. Several civil society organizations submitted parallel reports and participated in the review process in Geneva. During the session the German government admitted that racism in Germany is found in all parts of society. The committee will publish its recommendations in the coming days.
