Italian NGOs ANSI and Carta di Roma celebrate a first, important victory against an outdated law requiring directors of newspapers to have a European passport. Domenica Canchano, a Peruvian national who grew up in Genoa, has taken over at Cartadiroma.org, becoming the first non-European journalist to direct an online newspaper in Italy.
