European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Thursday urged the Czech government to reconsider its decision to stop taking in refugees under an EU-wide scheme to relocate asylum seekers. Earlier this week, Czech Interior Minister Milan Chovanec said the government would withdraw from the scheme entirely, citing security concerns. "I was very displeased to read in the press that the Czech government is considering to halt relocations entirely," Juncker said. Under the agreed scheme to relocate 160,000 migrants, the Czech Republic was asked to take in 2,691.
