The NGO Border Violence Monitoring has released videos showing migrants being pushed back by policemen at the Bosnian-Croatian border. The footage shows how various armed units of the Croatian police, carrying assault rifles, force migrants to cross the border to Bosnia. These push-backs, criticised for a long time by human rights activists, violate the principle of non-refoulement. The Croatian government rejected the reports and said the videos were taken directly from the border and showed that the police did not push-back but instead prevented people from crossing the border illegally.
