The European Union and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development conducted a study to examine the actions taken by the governments of EU and OECD member states to promote the integration of migrants. In this study, Lithuania ranked 34 out of 38. It was found that Lithuania is not ready to become a country for immigrants in the future, since it is not keen on reforming the rules regulating the suitability of persons for citizenship and solving issues relating to dual nationality.
