According to Capital.bg, the vast majority of Bulgarian prosecutors (82%) believe that their institution does not work well and needs to be reformed. Nearly two thirds of them said they know about cases of corruption or unethical behavior, and about cases where undue pressure has been exerted on members of the guild by superior prosecutors or by influential political and economic circles. Most often it is the misuse of power by their superiors, the arbitrary self-referrals and the pressure that influential political and economic factors put on them.
