On 11 May, the body of an African woman was found in France, a few kilometers from the border with Italy: she was one of the many "sans papiers" who attempt to reach France from Italy. The death of the woman has become a political case: the human rights organisation Chez Jesus argues that the death "is not an unexpected disgrace, it is not a coincidence. It is an inevitable consequence of the closed-door policy and of militarisation. It is a homicide, with people and accomplices who are responsible for the tragedy: starting with the governments and their policies to close the borders."
