Privacy experts in the Netherlands are critical of the selection procedure for a new app that would make it easier to track the spread of the Coronavirus. According to the experts they have no idea how the government came to the current shortlist due to an unclear procedure and selection criteria. There are also serious concerns regarding privacy. Advice from the EU was also ignored in the selection. The Dutch government has picked 7 contenders and aims to decide if and when the app will be used within a week.
