The Dutch government will start "a well-financed fund" to support abortion services hit by President Donald Trump's order to cut US aid. Other governments, businesses and charities will be able to donate to the fund, and Dutch Minister Lilianne Ploumen said the Netherlands would do everything it could to help women "remain in control of their own bodies." It has long been the case that no US money can be spent on overseas abortions, but Trump's executive order prohibits organizations that receive US family planning assistance from using non-US funding for abortion services.
