If they get approval, their families can travel safely from the Syrian war zone to Germany. A Syrian journalist has been on a hunger strike for several days. Neo-Nazis have tried to attack the protest camp and police fear more assaults by right-wing groups might follow. Many people are supporting the camp with donations of blankets, food and water.
