On May 27, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child will question the Dutch government about its compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. To prepare for this dialogue, the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights has submitted a report to the Committee, after it had already done so in 2014. The institute elaborates on the questions related to children’s rights in the Dutch Caribbean, the role of businesses in the protection of children’s rights, discrimination against children with disabilities, fighting the trafficking of girls and the importance of human rights education.
