Rome's mayor, a member of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement, has asked Italy's government not to send more migrants to the city. In her request, which follows a very disappointing showing for her party in the elections on Sunday, Virginia Raggi said that more arrivals could worsen social tensions in the city. The Ministry of the Interior has asked Italian cities to make room for an expected 250,000 new migrants this year, up from about 180,000 last year.
