The Hungarian minister of justice, László Trócsányi, has proposed a bill that would give legal protection against the rapid creation and sharing of unauthorized photographs. In practical terms, this would mean that one is in breach of the law simply by taking a selfie that includes someone else, provided his or her authorization is not sought before making the photo public. Does taking a picture that accidentally includes an unknown person really constitute a serious threat to privacy?
