One of Britain’s top judges has said that the government must give more clarity on whether it wants UK courts to take into account rulings of the European Court of Justice following Brexit. Judges have been told they will no longer be required to consider CJEU judgments but may if they think it appropriate. But Lord Neuberger, the president of the UK Supreme Court, is now demanding greater clarity over the issue, saying that the instructions judges would be expected to follow after Brexit need to be spelled out in a statute.
