The Spanish Constitutional Court has ruled in favor of a chemist who refused to store and to dispense the morning-after pill for its alleged "abortion-inducing" effect. The court's ruling was based on the right to object on moral grounds, but disregarded the case law of the European Court of Human Rights established in Pichon v. France, which held that "if selling prescribed contraceptives is legal and can only take place at a pharmacy, chemists cannot prioritize their religious beliefs and impose them as a justification for their refusal to sell them."
