EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker called for an extraordinary summit ahead of next week’s formal EU summit to help Angela Merkel deal with her hawkish interior minister. However, a draft conclusion text for the summit was already trashed by the new Italian government who said no to keeping migrants out of Germany. One participant, France, has called two others, Austria and Italy, "lepers." Four other non-invited EU states, have rubbished the summit as a club of "migrant-loving friends." Brussels media therefore prognoses failure for the summit with the participation of 9 leaders.
