A teenager who was removed from her classroom and deported to Nepal has been granted a study visa and allowed to return to Germany. Bivsi Rana, who is 15, was born in Germany to Nepalese parents. Because of German law, her birth in the country did not give her citizenship. She and the rest of her family were deported in May, sparking a protest from her fellow students and other citizens, who rallied under the slogan "Bring Bivsi back." German officials say the visa was granted because the case is unique and Rana is "de facto German."
