After the far right protests in Chemnitz, the Czech intelligence service, BIS, has voiced alarm over the emergence of armed anti-migrant militias in Czechia. A Czech daily quotes a classified BIS report on a group called the National Home Guard. Czech authorities, along with their Slovak and Slovene counterparts, reportedly see an increased risk of armed paramilitary groups appearing and pushing violent anti-migrant agendas. According to the Czech Foreign Ministry, such groups seem to have links to local police and have political support from National Democracy, a fringe far-right party.
