Britain's Labour Party is urging Prime Minister Theresa May to drop her "red line" objection to the role of the European Court of Justice after Brexit. In a letter published Wednesday in the Financial Times, Labour leaders said they rejected "the ideological and deeply unhelpful red line the prime minister has drawn that would prevent any future involvement of an EU-U.K. court-like body [over regulation]." Brussels wants the Court of Justice to continue to offer legal protection for EU citizens in the UK, but the Tory government has said it sees no role for the EU’s highest court post-Brexit.
