The UN refugee organization UNHCR sounded the alarm about the situation in Greece. The agency warned that Europe "stands at the threshold of a humanitarian crisis which is largely self-induced." According to a UNHCR spokesperson, the refugees' situation is rapidly worsening. Twenty-four thousand migrants don't have housing and one third is stranded near the Macedonian border. Food, water and housing are lacking in the temporary locations in Greece. Tensions are rising.
