The UN human rights chief has warned that growing inequality in income, wealth and access to resources and justice is a threat to human rights across the globe. She also made clear her concern that protesters are too often met with "violent and excessive use of force, arbitrary detentions, torture and even alleged summary or extrajudicial killings".
