Leaders from eight EU member states plus Serbia, Macedonia and Albania held a summit meeting in Brussels on Sunday where a 17-point action plan was agreed on. All heads of governments agreed to refrain from pushing migrants towards neighboring countries, while border control will be strengthened and include biometric registration. Greece will create 30,000 new places for refugees, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) another 20,000 and the Western Balkan countries another 50,000, adding up to 100,000 new places under the "hotspot" approach to accommodate migrants arriving to Europe.
