The Dutch-Turkish journalist Mehmet Ülger, who was tried in Turkey for taking pictures at the trial of another Dutch-Turkish journalist, Füsün Erdogan, in 2013, was acquitted on Wednesday. Mr. Ülger is relieved at his acquittal as, according to him, some things were just not right in this lawsuit. He claims, for example, that the evidence - i.e. the pictures on his mobile telephone - was not even looked at. The judgment can be appealed by the prosecutor.
