Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muižnieks recently visited Belgium for four days. During his visit he asked the government to speed up the registration procedure for asylum seekers and to increase capacity for accommodating refugees. The same demand comes from a group of citizens who spent 15 days working in a Brussels refugee camp that houses several hundred men, women and children. The secretary of state for asylum and migration has so
far refused to increase the number of registrations per day, currently set at 250.
