There are thousands of transgender children in the Netherlands. They are children who, for instance, feel like a boy but have a girl's body, and vice versa. They want to go to school and practice sports like everyone else, but they regularly face discrimination. This also appears from a recent verdict by the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights. A transgender boy (from girl to boy) wanted to join a football club but his membership was rejected, as he's transgender. The institute ruled he was therefore discriminated against.
