Dutch Muslims feel discriminated against more often than the European average, states new research by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights. The agency surveyed over 10,000 Muslims in 15 different EU countries. Seventeen percent of the respondents said they have been discriminated against in the last five years. Respondents were asked about discrimination in four areas: when looking for a job, when at work, when looking for housing and when in contact with education authorities. Of job applicants, 31 percent indicated that they were discriminated against in the last five years.
