No access to an interpreter and lack of legal aid are the most common irregularities observed by the Polish Helsinki Foundation's (HFHR) lawyers during the monitoring of forced return procedures. "Foreigners were often not informed about their legal position and did not have enough information about the details of their return," said HFHR lawyer Marta Górczyńska. The Polish Helsinki Foundation also reported cases of foreigners who understood neither the Border Guard officers nor the documents they had to sign.
