Events took place across Germany on March 21 to celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The "My Right Is Your Right!" campaign, based on a new alliance of artists, activists, lawyers, refugees, church officials, unionists and other organizations, held a demonstration in Berlin to "raise our voices against racism, antiziganism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and against the inhumane asylum policies of Germany and Europe." Across Bavaria, more than 2,000 people in 20 different municipalities stood together to form the word "RESPECT" to protest against racism.
