The Interpol office in Argentina has sent an urgent communication to the Spanish branch, urging the arrest of 20 individuals that are being prosecuted in Argentina for serious crimes, including tortures, summary executions and forced disappearances, all committed during Francisco Franco's dictatorship. The case is being investigated by an Argentinian judge exercising universal jurisdiction, after Spanish courts applied the Amnesty Law and denied victims justice. RIS continues to urge Spain to implement UN recommendations for its victims of forced disappearances.
