According to the global index of anti-Semitism published by the Anti-Defamation League, Lithuania occupies 40th place (36%) out of 102 countries. Anti-Semitism is least prevalent in the states with the lowest percentages, such as Sweden (4%), the United Kingdom (6%) and the Czech Republic (13%). As many as 65% of those surveyed in Lithuania said that Jews were too vocal about the Holocaust.
"We have to admit that we still haven't employed any complex measures to combat anti-Semitism in Lithuania," said Faina Kukliansky, Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Jewish community, regarding the results.
