On January 18, Lithuanian MP Algridas Patackas publicly warned the chairman of the board of the Lithuanian Gay League (LGL) that the organization was "playing with fire" and that its activities may "result in a black, repulsive and completely unacceptable response," similar to "what happened in Paris." The MP said this in response to the humorous suggestion by the leader of LGL to keep ten litas notes as LGBT* souvenirs.
LGL asked law enforcement officials to investigate the alleged or existing threat to the safety of the organization.
