The use of illegal substances such as heroin, cocaine and
cannabis will not be punished in Norway but treated instead. The Scandinavian
country known for its zero-tolerance policy towards psychoactive substances
made a historic step in its drug policy reform. The Storting, Norway's Parliament, passed the law with a large majority backed by parties across the political spectrum.
Furthermore, the Storting will have a study trip to Portugal, which has implemented
a similar reform with decriminalisation over a decade ago with great success.
