A month after the refugee camp in Ponte Mammolo (near Rome) was demolished by bulldozers, the former occupants, now living in tents near the metro station, wrote a letter to the mayor of Rome, Ignazio Marino, to stop the injustice against them. "We are human beings, not numbers. We have a story and a dignity to preserve. Thus, please, treat us in accordance with human rights standards and Italian and international law," reads their letter to the mayor.
