1. Are associate members eligible?

Yes

2. Can a project fall under all three objectives?

Yes

3. Can a project start later than the 1st of July?

Yes, eligible projects must start before the 1st of November 2023

4. What does positioning the Charter in litigation activities mean?

Activities related to research on the possible use of the Charter in specific litigation cases, such as creating a particular strategy, opinion and similar.

5. Can the grant support several campaigns related to issues covered by the Charter?

Yes

6. Will there be another call this year?

No, there will be another call in 2024 (pending approval of the CERV STRIVE 2024)

7. Can the project focus on advocacy not related to litigation?

Yes

8. Is a partnership with another Liberties member possible?

Yes, a partnership between two Liberties members (in one project proposal) can be supported.

9. Are research activities eligible?

Yes, with the result being a public document.

10. Is there a limit to admin costs?

No, admin costs should also include a project’s financial verification and be justified and reasonable.

11. Is a project focusing on monitoring and advocating the EC considered a conflict of interest?

No

12. If an organization is awarded a grant in 2023, will it still be eligible for future calls under CERV STRIVE?

Yes

13. Where should travel be budgeted?

The budget form is an activity-based budget. Activities should be broken down into different types of expenses, incl. Travel.
