A new amendment to Italy's legislative decree on civil justice reform would abolish courts and prosecution offices dedicated to juvenile justice and join them with the common justice system. The amendment, approved by the Justice Commission of the Italian Parliament, raises concern that the need to cut costs doesn't justify such a significant step. Susanna Marietti, the national coordinator of NGO Antigone, warns that losing this specialized branch of justice would have a lasting impact on future generations.
