Three drafts to change the Constitutional Tribunal Act have been introduced in the Polish Sejm (the lower house of Parliament). Two of them are completely new bills and one is an amendment to the act from June 2015. According to the Polish Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, only one draft – the one put forward by civil society representatives – comes close to ending the constitutional crisis in Poland. It essentially tries to limit the executive branch's influence on the Constitutional Tribunal. The other proposals are from the Sejm’s ruling PiS party and another parliamentary party, PSL.
