The region of Flanders in northern Belgium plans to install in the near future neutral toilets in state buildings, so that transgender people will feel more comfortable. It may not look like much, but this represents a significant step forward in recognizing and accommodating transgender people. A special logo will be displayed on toilet doors indicating that anyone can use them. The Belgian League of Human Rights hopes that a similar initiative will soon be proposed in Wallonia, the country's southern region, as well.
